It took me a while to find a hair stylist after my long-time stylist retired. I was referred to Michael by a co-worker. I did not have to look any further. Michael has done a great job for the last seven years keeping my color and cut perfect! His shop is very inviting and comfortable. After you meet him, you will soon learn he loves what he does. You will also meet "Irma" his very friendly pooch. She is a sweetheart. Give Michael a try and you won't go back to your current stylist!

Michael is the best hairdresser I've ever known. He is like a "hair whisperer", and just knows hair. He did a wonderful up do for my wedding day, and now I have some very beautiful pictures.

It's really true. Michael is the best hair colorist. He knows color, plus what color will look best with your skin tone and what is best so your gray will blend as it grows out! I always get compliments on my hair color, even from strangers! I love his new one man shop. It's a treat no matter what you’re getting done, hair, nails or a facial. Hats Off to The Art of Hair!

Michael has been doing my cuts and color (a three-color weave on really fine blonde hair) for over 10 years. Before finding him I really did try many stylists in Vancouver, Portland, Seattle and Los Angeles--and he is the best! My hair always looks natural and grows out in a way that is subtle. Add a great cut and style and you've got it all right here. The Art of Hair is a charming and clean shop that is a pleasure to spend time in.

Why go anywhere else!

I have been going to Michael for all of my hairstyling needs for over 10 years. I have followed him from shops where he rented a space to the shop he now owns and runs himself. I have absolute trust in his ability and I never leave his shop feeling unhappy about the way my hair looks! He will not lie to you about how something will look and is all about helping you figure out what will look great! I even managed to convert my husband away from Supercuts and he's been going to Michael for years as well! Michael's prices are very fair in today's overpriced world and the entertainment you will experience is just an added bonus!
